About a week ago I was notified by one of my favorite bloggers that I won her Blog - give-away! Today I received the book "Handmade Home" by Amanda Blake Soule from Charlotte Lyons of "House Wren Studio".... what a wonderful and inspiring book! It is amazing how close I can feel to these women I have never met. I love the word Kinship... {as evidence, my blog name} and it is a blessing to be united to these two women if only in cyberspace...Brenda and Charlotte and Amanda of "Soule Mama" what a creative kinship we can share in the blogosphere.... ♥♥♥ Thank you for the gift Charlotte!

That is so cool. You know, when I met you on Friday briefly at your Open House, I wondered if you knew of Amanda's work - it felt very familiar. I just found Amanda's blog in the last year and I absolutely love it, and the world she has created for her fmily

How wonderful you won the book and discovered Soule Mama! I scrimped and saved my egg money to get this book recently - I think it's the only book I've purchased all year. She and your family both enter my mind every day as I try to live more mindfully, simply, and with much less than a former life in Brooklyn, here in the country with 3 small, new children. You are quite the inspiration! I've often thought that I'd read a book written by you, Brenda, about the work of being a mother in this creative life you all lead.
