Rug Hooking - "Everyday Joys" progress

I am really liking hooking on this, now that I got my space de-cluttered and organized. It took a while to do clean-up, but it is well worth the time because I feel so at peace and can really work on the rug. I have weathered some doubts about the color scheme and even did some changes in it--- only to change it back. I think it will be ok and I need to just keep going before I make anymore dramatic changes.
On another note -- our family is working on Artprize and our project: The Beerhorst Family Wonder Wagon is coming along. We are collaborating with Rachael and Cameron Van Dyke and some other folks like Matthew Fowler and Sung Yi and Bob Hefferan and Ellen Margelis. We are going to have live music and art-making classes scheduled for the whole 16 days of Artprize '09. If you can make it to Grand Rapids, Michigan Sept. 23 - Oct. 10 you will witness history being made in this town --- I believe the Artprize extravaganza will be utterly amazing to witness and do wonders for our lovely city! Hi Brenda!
I so enjoyed reading about your family in your previous post. My husband is a photographer, and we also keep a home studio. Please check out his work when you can http://jimayfield.com. I have family in Grand Rapids that I will be coming to see before too long. Would love to see your home studio. I also like the idea of the entire family being schooled at home (even though I taught elementary for 23 years). I thinks it's just a wonderful opportunity to live your art. The wagon looks like it's really coming along. Can't wait to see finished results!

Brenda!
When the photo of your new rug popped up on the screen, I went "Oooooooh! Wow!"
So for what is it worth, I love the color scheme a lot. It feels nostologic, yet really fresh and muted.
Keep it up!

A home without Rug is like a body without Soul.
