Birthday cake

Today is my 48th Birthday! Chocolate cake made from scratch by my daughter Pearl. One of the benefits of growing older is children who bake you cakes! The day is bright and beautiful and Rick is making homemade pizza. Shepherd my 11 year old son (and only boy) even straightened up the house on his own and has been extra nice to me.... I kinda like being treated extra nice!

A belated Happy Birthday! I have enjoyed getting to know the Beerhorst family through your Flickr, and blogs! I admire your heart for God and the creative lifestyle you have chosen to live!
Years ago I read 'Hidden Art' by Edith Schaeffer and it had a great effect on my life, as I realised the high calling of Creative Expression and that when we are Creative we display an aspect of God's nature.
